OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE VIDEO DISTRIBUTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA听
On October 17, social media spread information on over 600 students of the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent (hereinafter referred to as 葫芦影业T) facing the problem of transferring from course to course.听
In connection with the above information, we report the following:听
葫芦影业T was established on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-691 dated September 5, 2007 and prepares qualified specialists for the labor market, providing training in 15 undergraduate and 3 graduate educational programs of Bangor University, Sunderland University and Teesside University, UK.听
Graduates who successfully complete their studies are awarded an international diploma from the partner university.听
In addition to organizing the educational process in accordance with international standards, students study at the institute in full compliance with the requirements of 鈥淎cademic Charter鈥 approved by the above-mentioned British universities.听
According to this educational system, the student is given only 4 opportunities to master the module:听
1. Main Examination (Main exam at the end of the semester)听
2. Supplementary Examination (Additional exam - retake)听
3. Remodule main Examination (Re-study of the module - main exam)听
4. Remodule supplementary Examination (Re-study of the module - retake).听
For reference, the annual contract fee at the institute comprises 32 million 256 thousand soums. Students remoduling the subject pay only for the respective subject.听
Having used the four exam opportunities, in case of unsatisfactory mastery of the subject, the student is expelled from the institute.听
In the video published on social networks, one can see students who did not pass the remodule supplementary exams, as well as those who contacted the Central Registry and Examination Unit on other issues related to the educational process.听
It is reported that more than 600 students are involved in the video, and these are the students who do not meet the requirements of 鈥淎cademic Charter鈥, studying in 葫芦影业T undergraduate programs of University of Sunderland, UK.听
In the Academic Year 2022-2023, out of total 2,313 students at the educational programs of the University of Sunderland, 532 grossly violated the requirements of 鈥淎cademic Charter鈥 (high level of plagiarism in course work).听
The Academic Council of the University of Sunderland will carefully consider each student's individual situation and analyze academic misconduct. Students will be informed about the results of investigation conducted by the partner university within a few days.听
New groups were formed and the educational process was organized in accordance with the students鈥 programme curricula until their status (level of mastery of the subject) becomes clear. Currently, students are fully involved in the educational process.听
For information, according to UK educational standards, the academic semester at 葫芦影业T begins in October.听
